I'm putting a 2.3turbo in my v6 vert, and wanted to know if the v6 and v8 cross members are the same? If not what will be the easiest way to find where I need to mount the engine mounts to install a 2.3 in the engine bay. Also with it mated to a t-5 will my stock drive shaft work, or will I have to get one customed made, also can anyone tell me if my 95 guages will work with the LA3 88 comp. Will any of my exsiting harness work with the LA3

thanks Derek

If you use a sn 95 driveshaft and the sn 95 imput shaft w/ the T5 and the bellhousing, you *should* be fine. K member, may have to be changed. I know that older 6cyl fox bodies k members differed from the 4cyl/v8's

its true the inline 6 had a different kmember but i dunno about the older v6.

You should go into the V6 and/or 5.0 forums and ask:
1) does the v6 have the same kmember as the 5.0?
2) did they use the same 5.0 motor mounts in the fox cars as the SN95's?

if the answer to both is yes then it will work but you need 2.3 mounts.

As for the transmission in 94+ they sat farther back by means of longer bellhousing and input shaft. IF the v6 bellhousing will bolt to the 2.3 use that and modify the input shaft if necessary. If not then use your old bellhousing/input shaft/driveshaft, and relocate the trans kmember. The shifter will end up 1" forward if this if the way you must go.

If it's a '95, you should just be able to bolt up sme 2.3 motor mounts to the K-member, I would think.

For the driveshaft...was there any difference in length between the Foxes and SN95's? If not I would think you'd be able to use any driveshaft from any Fox with a T5 in it. If there is, then I dunno what to tell ya.

Not sure about the gauges either.
