I installed the plates along with their front struts and now the car is making a metal clanking sound when I go over bumps. What's the deal with that? Is there something I forgot (which would've been left out of the instructions, cause I followed them to a tee)? It just seems that there is'nt any bounce anymore. I did not want this. I wanted the struts and after reading the instructions they said they "highly recommend" c/c plates, so I got theirs and...well what can I do? Maybe somehow sandwich the stock rubber piece in there somehow? Yes, I installed both the steel spacers, but maybe that was'nt enough, maybe I have to install some small washers, cause it won't tighten anymore. NE1 else have this problem?

Sounds like you need more spacers under the top nuts on the strut or struts. The threads should not bottom out, the nut should tighten on the spacers. This is the nut on top of the strut pushrod. That is if they are like the MM plates I installed. Take it to a place that does alignments on racing suspensions. I tried to save $ and go to a regular alignment shop. Oh yeah, we can align it for $50. When the guy says "let me look at it first" forget it. Took this guy 3 hrs to align my car. He scratched the CC plates up prying on them with a screwdriver. There is a better way.

If you have no bounce, that is the springs fault. The strut is there to keep the spring from bouncing too much.
