Quadrant probs. PLZ HELP ASAP

I didn't take any of that stuff out doing mine. The Quardrant is by the gas pedal and is easy to get apart. Well it was for me with the big prybars.

Mine did the Same thing.

You should be able to pull the pin and then just pull the quadrant off. Might have to pry it or shave the side down with a dremel tool as it is a tight squeeze getting it out. Did you check to see if the cable had just popped off the quadrant? Being you just put in a new cable, you may not have got it in there just right. You should not have to take off anything to replace a quadrant though. Atleast I never have. Good luck.

If it's the stock quadrant - it is made of plastic and has teeth on it that strip out very easily. Especially over time and after repair work.

Yes the only thing you will be putting on there is the Aluminum Qaudrant.

I bought the UPR with the firewall adjuster and the adjustable cable.
Was very easy to install and love the feel of it.

I pulled this from one of the links above
Remove drivers seat (not mandatory, but will save you a lot of pain and hassle),
Pull up on clutch pedal.
Jack car up and support securely with jack stands.
Pull the clutch cable housing cover off of the tranny. One small bolt and the cover slides out.
Unhook the cable from the clutch fork. Use a pry bar, or even a foot to depress the fork if necessary.
Crawl on your back under the dash.
Above the gas pedal, you will see two white plastic quadrants that hook onto two shafts. Use a flash light if necessary, these can be difficult to spot for a first-timer. (picture 1)
Remove cotter pins, two of them. Use your finger and push on the pointy side (take the pain!!) or try your luck with some long needle nose pliers or a screwdriver. Patience, this is can be difficult to do the first time, and you can loose those two cotter pins if you not careful. (picture 2)
It is near impossible to see, but the plastic quadrants are held on by a spring under each one. I like to use an OEM tire iron, and pry the quadrant out far enough to stick my finger in and unlatch the springs. They can be very hard to see, and you might just have to feel around. You will have to move the clutch pedal to various positions to slip the quadrants off. Have patience, this sucks, but it will come off!! (Picture 3, 4, 5) Note in picture 4 how the springs clip onto the bracket. These will need to be unhooked with a screwdriver or something long and pointy. Also note in picture 5 that the spring goes through the center of the arm on the little of the quadrant piece. This is one of the major factors that keep that small quadrant from coming off. When under the car, you may not have good enough access to see all of this, but if you know what you are dealing with, you’ll know how to unhook and slide this assembly out.
Throw both plastic quadrants and springs away, keep the cotter pins. Slip the new quadrant onto both shafts, and put the cotter pins on.
I find that the second hook always seems to work best. DO NOT; I repeat, DO NOT use the third hook, which is the highest position on the UPR quadrant!! It is merely there to get past the Steeda double hook patent. I used it, and it caused the clutch pedal to sit way too high, the cable was too tight, and prematurely wore our clutch out.
Pull the black rubber grommet off the end of the clutch cable that goes into the firewall (after you unbolt the cable from the firewall). On the plastic cable sheath, that is exposed after you remove that black rubber grommet, you will see three tabs. Cut those off with a razor, or file them down with a file. If you don't, you'll see why, it won't slip through the firewall adjuster. Bolt the firewall adjuster into the firewall, slip the cable through the hole in the adjuster, crawl into the car, and slip the end of the cable onto the second hook.
Don't forget to hook the other end of the cable back onto the clutch fork and put the cover back onto the transmission.
