Question about ECU,PCM

I bought a 2007 4.0 V6 engine and transmission. I have the engine/trans. wiring harness and the computer. My question is if I installed this setup into a 31 Ford Pickup, will the computer work? Can I get it reflashed to work? Sorry it's not a whole Mustang Guys. Hope I don't P. O. some people. Thanks for any help.

Assuming that some of the sensors and connectors will not be used, I believe a custom tune, of some kind, will be needed to solve any possible driveability issues/check engine light etc.

Thanks for youe reply, I have to get the Ford PATS out of the computer and I'm hoping that one of several advertising they can bypass or reprogram the PATS out.
