question about mass air sensors

the Lightning MAF will not work with your car unless you get a tune. The module is not set for any specific fuel injector, the computer has the fuel injector calibration in the tune.
Stock MAFs are not calibrated, the computer is. Aftermarket MAFs that supposedly are calibrated for larger injectors give false readings to the computer to keep the a/f ratio somewhat safe.

whenever you change a MAF you should get a tune.

Why do you want a bigger maf? The stock maf can handle ~408rwhp before it pegs.

if you are N/A, keep the stock maf. otherwise you lose resolution with a bigger maf.

If you change the area of the opening in the MAF, either by swapping your electronics into a bigger housing or altering the stock housing by cutting obstructions out, you will change the electrical response relative to the actual amount of air flowing through it, and it will no longer match the mass air transfer function in the computer. Normally, increasing the airflow while keeping the stock electronics will result in a leaner than normal condition. Modest changes will be accounted for by the adaptive control system, but it will still be leaner than normal at WOT.

Your MAF is probably the single most important sensor in the whole powertrain control system and you would be well advised not to screw around with it unless you really know what you are doing. Most tuners can give you a tune up that will work with a modified meter, or a meter like the lightning meter, especially on the dyno, and as someone else said you would be well advised to get a professional calibration if you modify the meter.
