i have a set of welds to put on the car, 15x8 in the rear with 5.5 bs and 255 60 15 tires. i currently have 225 60 15s on the back and it doesnt look like theres anmore room back there. If i have to remove the quads for clearance, will that hurt anything? ive only heard of people removing them when the have good lower CA's and other rear suspension work done. what woul dbe the effects of removing them from a stock rear suspension setup? TIA

I took mine off a year ago and it didnt make a lick of difference!! With your mods I wouldnt worry about it youll be fine.
If you do have problems just put them back on! but you shouldnt have any problems!

I know for SN95's ..... they're pretty much useless if aftermarket LCA's are used. And I've heard of some people removing them completely while still having factory LCA's ..... who say there is no difference. I recommend you go ahead & get the LCA's ..... then remove them.

i have the same rim with 275's on them for tires and still have my quad shocks installed. yes it rubs a little around corners but mostly my car goes straight so i don't worry about it.

This statement is not true! All Mustangs respond different to control arm changes, some guys can squeak by without using them while others must have them. They do more than just stop wheel hop, they also control axle rotation, and another way to look at it is if they were not needed or are useless, Ford would have never wasted the money putting them on the cars in the 1st place! You can always flip your quads for a little extra space out back.

shakerhood is correct, for me, steeda lca's and new springs wasn't enough, so back on the quads went.
