Question for those with Forged Shortblocks

I am running 8psi on my stock bottom end right now. I do know its a matter of time that it will eventually give out on me even with a conservative tune and me rarely going into boost. Just wondering how much $$$$ i would be looking at for a new forged shortblock with labor. Would i be able to get out with a $5,000 budget if my motor did happen to crap out on me? Just wondering what everyone ended up paying and what route you took as far as where you got your shortblock and have you been happy with it? thanks in advance..

You will be able to have a reassembled forged short block biult and installed for around $4500 easily.

It's the "While it's out I might as well" bug that starts to add up....up the boost, P&P the heads, swap out injectors, upgrade the fuel system.....

It never ends.
