Hey maybe somebody will know this...if anyone has a/c in their 5.0 you know that on the bigger hose that runs along the back and drapes across some of the upper intake, there is a kind of like insulator that protects the hose from heat..and also on the other smaller compressor hose near the pass side their is an insulation on that too...i ripped mine off cause it was like dry rotted and falling off...and i redid my engine..soooo..where can i find new stuff to put on there or something that relates to that???

Try a commercial air conditioning repair shop. They use stuff like that on the outside lines of home air conditioning.

If you go to a commercial HVAC supply house the stuff is called "armor flex". The stuff you get from them is usually split kinda like convoluted tubing for wiring harnesses and it has an adhesive on the split so when you put it on it will stick together.

I actually bought some at a local hardware store. It was for the outside lines on a home central air unit like jrichker said. It was pretty cheap and came in a piece long enough to do 2 cars with.
