Questions for those familiar with my car

D....I like everything you've mentioned. Save for the 4" cowl. I, personally, wouldn't go any higher than mine (3"). As for the powder coating route,if I don't 'chrome' everything next season, I will more than likely do the same. As it is, right now, I have to disassemble my motor to repolish all parts due to all the handling. it's rewarding when it looks like chrome. But it seems to be short lived.

BTW....Tell your guy to work out all the bugs and take note of all things performed. I just may be out to see him after yours. I feel my car is starting to look a little tired. :)

Black and red would be awesome, especially w/a Cobra wing! I WAS going to suggest one and also say to keep the DECH rear, but I see that's what you meant in the first place. If anything on the exterior, I say new side skirts. Saleens would flow well w/the rear bumper :nice:

4" hood IMO is too large, but if you like 'em then hey - go for it :D I say get the double rise "Cobra R" style. That was my second choice as well, and every now and then I still consider it!

Oh, and a red powdercoat scheme in the engine would be sweet, especially since it hasn't really been done much. I've seen some that go halfway with it w/whatever exterior color they have, and it looks good. Doing it the way I know you'd do it would definitely be better :nice:

As it sits...I'm looking at adding cobra wing and cobra insert, fixing a few paint defects (I'm far too anal) but retaining the body color..just can't part with it. Really like the idea of Swap to a 2-3" cowl, Dual black strypes up the middle pulling the engine to smooth and hide. Delete the P/S and go to March alt bracket and tensioner. Some powder coat to the upper but retaining some Bling sections..keep the polished lower and V/C's. Really wondering about keeping the stock air box over the AMF power pipe only to keep from having another tune session as a result to correct any A/F changes that would result. Opinions? These changes would enhance the look IMO but not end up costing me an arm and a leg to freshen up a car I've just become a bit bored of looking at. I like the overall of the car but like everyone want some changes made and some new projects to begin. Figure a $2000 budget will keep the wife happy and the husband enthused :)

I don't think the pipe would throw the tune off by much, or at least anything really noticeable. It's not forced, which is where things get tricky. Nothing non-electronic tuning couldn't handle anyway, at least I wouldn't imagine. I've seen people put on 14# blowers without having a custom tune

Cobra wing and insert :nice:
