1. I have seen that some people cut open the fenderwell to get the filter out there in a straight shot. If you could do your CAI again, would you cut open the fenderwell again?

2. Any thoughts on keeping the filter in the engine compartment? It seems less extreme to me.

3. Do you have anything supporting the end where the mass air meter / air filter is? Or is it "suspended in mid air" by the rubber connection between the PVC and the throttle body?

Thanks, Chris

1. I kept the hole as small as possible with clearance at about 1/4 of an inch so things don't look as bad as just a big honkin hole in the fender. If you don't want to enlarge the hole you can use a 90 bend and let the filter hang down. I think that way will not flow as well as a straight shot and the filter is more likely to get water in it. I was using the 90 bend thing for the numbers you see in the sig.

2. You will draw air that is hotter and might have a prob with fan wash.

3. I bent a support bracket from soft aluminum that is attched to the two holes on the ProM 80 and the original maf fender mounting bolt hole.
