Do you guys put ice on your cars? if you do... where? I haven't ran a mustang down the strip since 2003. :(

EDIT: I'm going to run my car for the first time. I'll post results tomorrow.

Its freaking hot down here, so maybe it'll run better in the winter.

conditions... mid to upper 90's from 6pm to 830PM . which is around the time that i'm running.:notnice:

I usually only use ice on superchargers. I take a pump sprayer (like the one for spraying weeds and stuff) with ice and water so that I can spray down the radiator/intercooler surfaces. The I put a big party bag of ice directly on top of the blower between runs.

I also set my fan temps to come on around 195* for both fans so that I can maintain as low of a coolant temp as possible. And I don't turn the car off right after a run, I let is sit running or drive it slowly around the parking lot.

The only real place you can put ICE on these cars is in the overflow bottle and since that's not a constantly circulating system like the intercooler resivoir it really doesn't do much good to put ice in it. It does help to put some ice in the intercooler resivoir though.

(PLEASE NEVER USE DRY ICE THOUGH! I have heard of some people trying that, but they don't realize that dry ice is a gas, not a liquid when it melts so it puts "air/CO2" in your coolant system) And small amounts of dry ice produce huge amounts of gases.

Other than that there is not much you can do with ice or water. It's also not a good idea to get much water on your exhaust manifolds.
