Radiator dilema. What would you do?

call griffin and tell them your problem

They charge top dollar for their product, but I've always known them to be reasonable.

Chances are for the price of round trip shipping they can fix you up with exactly what you need.

Its a Summit (made by Northern)universal "chevy" type, the core size is 28.5X19 and it cost $169.99.

The fans are 2 16" pusher/puller Scotts fans, rated at about 2-2100 cfm,but i think i might go for something with more CFM later.

sorry to bring back an old post (only two months old :rlaugh: )
does your radiator seats on top of the frames, or between them?

I've measured the distance between the frames on my 65 coupe and it's just under 28"

Thanks

Thanks for bringing back an old post instead of starting a new one!

Steph, I just sent you a PM. Here a pic from the other side..............This is a Howe radiator but it may give you some ideas. The red arrows show the aluminum angle used to mount the radiator. This is a passenger side water pump and drivers side radiator - heck the extra hose gives more coolant which is really needed for heavy duty enjoyment in the ole girl.

It sits on top of the frame rails, i have it spaced about 3/8 above so its not metal/metal contact and theres about 1/2 inch clearance between the tanks and the sheet metal on the sides. It runs so much cooler now, even with the blower
