Interior and Upholstery radio cubby

Good deal. Good luck. Take your time cutting the plexiglass and spend the time trimming it so it fits nice and doesn't look like a hack job.

Above all else, if your not sure its going to work, get someone to look at it before you bond it to the dash. Once that's done, it's not coming off without destroying the rest of the dash. You can do it if your patient and take your time.
Thank you sir.

Once you get that front plate situated, I would look to adding more structure to the body of the radio. They come with that one strap to attach to the back, but maybe a second one wouldn’t hurt to help out the stress on that plate. Just a suggestion.

You do not have to buy the liquid gold 3m stuff. Home depot has construction adhesive( s) that will work to bond plastic together. Regular JB weld won’t work as well as it dries too rigid, and the smooth back side of the ABS will probably let go after time.

There are smaller tubes of PBA also made from the boys from JB weld that will do the job. Probably at Oreillys on the shelf

That's exactly what I had picked out, perfect.

Elaborate on that my man.
There always a strap like this to help support the weight. It may be enough with one, I just like to overkill things, so I’m thinking ones on the sides would help take the pressure off the glued in faceplate.

1 last question Mike what would be the best tool to cut this plastic?

A razor blade box cutter to get the rough outside dimensions. ( you score the plastic using a straight edge to guide the blade) once you get a decent cut line scored, the stuff will snap off on that cut line. The center is best cut out with a jig saw.
