hey everyone, a week or so ago i got a tremec 3550 tranny put into my 95 gt. when i had this done i also got a new pypes 'the beast' kit for my car. the beast kit i got doesnt have cats on it and had an off road x-pipe. since i have gotten these things installed on my car, my gas mileage has drop from about 210 miles per tank to about 160 per tank.

i have been trying to find out the gearing difference between the stock t-5 and the tko-3550 to see if that could cause it, but havent had any luck on finding info.

since putting the new exhaust in, the exhaust smells very rich (though i expected that because of the removal of the cats). what my question is this. could the x-pipe and no cats affect the engine enough to reduce my gas mileage?

thanks for you alls help.

and by the way, if anyone is thinking about getting a pypes system for you car; i would highly recomend them. They sound excellent and it was pretty easy to install on my car. the only bad thing was one tube between the x-pipe and muffler was shifted forward about 2 or 3 inches and this threw the tips off. i got it from a website called blueovalindustries.com; it was 439 with free shipping. i will try to get some video / sound clips of it tonight and throw them up.

thanks again.
