There are bracket kits to pull the axles on slightly. You need the brackets, and fox length 5lug axles (like the ones currently stuck in your current rear)
any suggestions on removing the axle? should i take out the s-spring (clutch tensioner spring), because it looks like that is whats holding in the axle.
Well, you gotta push it in and remove the c-clip, otherwise nothing will come out. I assume the center pin has been removed? If so, then my guess is the bearing has seized to the shaft as that's the only thing that would hold it in...unless the splines are seized.
At this point, you have nothing to lose right?? I'd do 10-pound sledge on the hub of the axle. I'd consider the axle shaft junk as well. You might have to sacrifice it to save the entire axle.
yea the center pin is out, but i never thought that the bearings could seized onto the shaft ..is there a way to remove the s-spring with the axle still inside the housing?
