Rear Defroster Question

Guys i have a 03' Mustang V6 it has about 21k miles on it. My rear defrost when i turn it on only a small portion of the grid on the rear window defrost the rest is inactive is this normal ? or is this something i should take into ford for warranty?

If it's still under warranty, definitely take it in.

The whole window is supposed to heat up. If just a portion is, either numerous defroster lines are damaged, or the defroster is defective.
