rear end help

I was told bye a friend of mine tha some rear ends from explorers and rangers will bolt right up in my 85 gt. any help would be great

Your friend was wrong. Truck rears won't bolt up.


86-98 Mustang 8.8 (94+ are disk brake and 5-lug)

86-92 Mark 7 (5-lug and disk)

87-88 t-bird (4-lug and disk)

Is the width of the SN95 rears the same as a fox for a direct swap?

Only up to 1998. After that it goes wider. It will still bolt in, but not without some modifications.


Up to 1998, if you take the brakes and axle shafts out, it's basically the same 8.8 housing as an 86-93 fox drum housing...so you could swap your drums on if you really wanted
