Rear end??

When I drive my car the rear end makes a whining noise but only when I touch the gas lightly. I wanted to know if it needs to be replaced or it needs something else. If it does need to be replaced what should I get, I have 3.73's in there now and it isnt posi. Thanks guys

If you aren't spinning both tires you need your traction lock rebuilt its about $40 for a kit and new fluid. The fluid change may also help the whine. But as stated before if the gears are new they may whine a bit but I find it hard to believe the gears would be new but the traction lock wasn't rebuilt. It also depends on the brand of gear that is in there. Richmonds are known to whine.

More than likey the backlash isnt set correctly. When pressing lightly the teeth are probably riding on the outer edge. Probably a poor install. Nothing to really worry about, not going to break any teeth or anything unless your pushing 350 + HP
