I have a question (my first in this section I think)...
when removing and installing rear springs on an irs rear. How is it done? The only writeup I've seen has been on snap-ons shopkey program at work and it is said to require removing the whole irs subframe... I know there has to be another way.
Is there enough room to just lower the control arms enough to get the springs out, by taking out a few bolts? like the lower strut bolts, tie rods and I think I remember seeing swaybar links attached to them too... Or does it have to be removed?
I haven't done work on an IRS before (cougar, mark viii, cobra) so any hints are appreciated!!!
Thanks in advance.
