rear wheel spacers

people have done it. Here are some pics of one with 1.25" in back with some 275's. It's on a v6, but you get the idea with the bullits on it

Here is a link to my webpage I just started setting up. Under galleries there are a few pics of my Cobra, and you can check out how much better the spacers helped in the looks dept. I have 275 40 r 17's, and 9" Cobra R wheels and 1 inch spacers.

Try http://www.wheelspacers.com he's a retired drag racer in SoCal that custom makes spacers for all applications.

I didn't mean any offence by my comment. I am just saying that due to the limeted amount of threading that the lug nut is in contact with if you use that style of spacer, even a few hard street launches could spell disaster. I have heard of people losing there wheel while just driving down the interstate with that style of spacer. They have their uses, but a performance vehicle is not one of them. Stick with a hubcentric spacer that has studs built in to them.

These are the ones I got for my rear wheels in 1.25" size. Sorry, another 96-98 body style checking in here so my pics don't mean much to you, but our rims are the same size and width as the 2k1 stock cobras. Our rear end is approx. 1" narrower though than the 99+ mustangs, so you have to take that into consideration when thinking about the size you want to get. That's .5" pushed in on each side. Also, don't forget that if you get rear adapters, they need to be wide enough to clear your stock studs, otherwise you would have to cut them down a bit in order to mount them.
