Hi all, This is my first Tech post as I am new to the stang forums. Here's the quick and dirty. Bought about 3 weeks ago, The guy riped the engine apart 6 months ago and lost interest. After paying $3.00 a day storage at a local Military Auto Shop (a do it yourselfers Garage). I give the guy $100 for the whole deal.
Now after over 20 hours of searching for lost parts (rod nuts, hydrallic roller lifter guides (keepers), various nuts bolts etc, I am finally ready to get this beast running. The problem I am having is trying to figure out which timing cover bolts go where and don't want to guess. There are 7 bolts for the water pump (which are obvious) two that bolt behind the water pump. (the only two short ones, duh) (bottom of timing cover) and the rest well, That's what I'm trying to figure out. I have a few bolts that are threaded all the way from one end of the bolt to the other. (for accessories) and some with the head at the end. Some shorter, some longer. I have been on alldata and to the dealership for a parts explosion with no luck. Does anyone have any idea?

The link to the top two pics are the same timing cover as mine. The third pic has a slight varience of bolts as compared to mine. Do I have the wrong pieces or could this possibly be due to an a difference in accessory parts? Any clue of a parts explosion or a "which bolts go where guide"?????????????

wow - a reply from a very dead post. Yes I did figure it out. The best way to do it is by pretending you are installing everything and using a process of eimination route. It looks intimidating, but once you get the obvious bolts in the right place it moves along rather nicely.
