Didn't some early 80s Stangs have an aluminum bumper assembly under the front and/or rear covers?

I used the backside of my factory bumpers as a mold, and recreated mine out of fiberglass. Knocked 57 lbs. off the car...

i have deleted the cruise control in my car you have to disconnect the all the 2 bolts holding it on inside the fender. you aslo have to remove the the throttle cable that that is associated with the cruise control then once you have done that you can disconnect the wiring from inside, there will be a box on the left hand side of underneath the dash. unplug both of them and take that box out. then there us a rubber hose that goes right up behind the brake pedal that u can see if u just look under the dash and disconnect that as well then u can pull everything out from the front of the fender. take a look and you will see exactly what im talking about if u have any other questiions email me or PM me. i should have some pictures too that may help.

I finally got around to removing the cruise control today. That wiring box under the dash had 2 harnesses going to it but only one was from the cruise control. Whats the other harness for? You said to remove it but what exactly is it for?

you want thermactor inserts for that. For the cruise control, I really don't remember it was years ago. I removed it and threw it away, don't need it.

I have the inserts I'm trying to figure out what to use to seal them in I've got a few different answers I'm leaning more towards red thread lock #271 but if u used something different and it worked let me know I've never done these before I got them in 4 or 5 turns
