Another simple cosmetic job......right...........
I removed the pin from the old handle and pulled the handle off.
Unwrapped the new NPD handle and held it up to rod.
Pin hole on the new handle is not in the same location as the old handle.
Otherwise handle looks the same.
Old handle was horizontal when installed, new handle is pointing down at 8 o'clock location.
Am i missing something here?
What location is the handle supposed to be in?

That sucks.

Does anyone know where to get a repop handle that has the metal inside like the original one did? I have broken mine 3 times over the last several years.

Talk to the guys at CPRstreetmachines.com if you want to get a really slick billit one. I bought one from them, top quality part.

I'll suguest the billit one again. Its a top quality part and it wont break on you.

I don't believe it !!!!!!!!!!!!
I reported my defective handle to NPD and they sent me a replacement, free of charge.
You've guessed it, it's identical to the defective one, same box.
Marvelous.............

Do these billet handles look like the originals, black, or are they shiny billet pieces?

I'm going to post a picture of the defective handle and ask if someone could do a sanity check for me on pin location.

Sanity Check

Can someone do a sanity check for me on brake handle pin location for a 65 Coupe.
My original pin was approximately in the 5 - 6 o'clock position. My NPD repro part pin location is in the 9 o'clock location. See attached image.

Please someone, confirm the correct pin location on your car, before I complain to NPD again. Thanks.

I'm having a senior moment.
The repro pin hole is in the 3 o'clock position.
It still doesn't jive with my original where the pin was in the approx 6 o'clock position.
