Replaced the 17x8s with 17x9 Bullitts out back on the 88 GT

I just got a set of 17x9 anthracite bullitts with 275/40-17s mounted up out back on my GT. They are such a close match to the factory 17x8s I had up front but I can tell the difference. So today I ordered a set of 17x8 replicas for the front to get a perfect match both with the polished lip and the anthracite spokes. The replica spokes are just a shade off - slightly darker and a little warmer in finish - almost undetectable. But I'm picky. As soon as the 17x8s show up I can mount the new front tires up and bolt 'em up. Still get a little more lip and fit a nice wide 275 out back. I have a 1.75" drop and everything tucks inside the fender lip. My fender lip rolling tool is on the way and I'll roll the lips just to make sure I have plenty of room when under hard cornering! Sorry about the crappy pics, was pretty bright this morning. I'll get better pics later.

I want the same set up, but I can only find 17x9 Black Bullitts with a 6.42" Backspace none in Anthracite.

Thanks guys. Yeah i just looked for those 17x9 black bullitts for you and you are right nobody has the black spoke 17x9 with the 5.95" backspacing...hhhmmm. Try calling Mustangs Unlimited or American muscle and see if they can get 2 17x9 5.65 BS painted custom????

Yeah I WAS selling, had 3 guys pretty interested at one point but nobody showed up. So about a week later I had it at my budy's shop on the lift and we were installing the new KYB AGX struts ands shocks. My buddy looked at me and said "you should really reconsider keeping this - one of the cleanest fox Mustang chassis I've ever worked under" I thought about it some more and after seeing it in the new MM&FF article and SN95 brake article and thinking about the car I decided to just keep it. Now I got all the 70mm mass air stuff, has wider wheels out back now and some other little stuff going in. Really turning out to be a nice ride. Next I'm sending a T5 over to Pro Motion to build me a hot tranny for it.

Thanks for looking but you misunderstood. I want the Anthracite 17x9s with 6.42" Backspace but all I can find is ones that are painted Black.

Oh yeah Dacula - I drive from Sugar Hill to Winder and back everyday with the GT. I drive 20 and take 124 to get to route 8. I think I pass near by the Dacula area everyday. Can't miss the GT - should be able to hear it about a mile out LOL!

Cool. I was at the 45th Anniv show this past weekend and while looking under the hood of foxes, I realized my car doesn't have a front sway bar. Previous owner must have taken it out for the strip and I really haven't done enough corner carving to notice. Off to MPS to get one this Sat.
