Ok im trying to find out why my LX is such a dog.as stated in my post yesterday my car is mainly stock but even for being stock it is ghastly slow.will spin the tires if I dump the clutch id 1st,but even then im not pulled back in the seat, and it wont even chirp 2nd.car is fully tuned up,cleaned MAF,no CEL on,no codes in memory, doesnt smoke, doesnt ping, timing @14* btdc spout out.anyway it was recommended that I check compression,my results were all within 3psi of 155 psi.The only thing I notice strange is that the dizzy when set around 14deg seems to be rotated awfully far towards the pass side,so much that the ignition module harness doesnt have any slack at all .Im wondering if the previous owner installed the dizzy in a coupla teeth off ,even so if im getting 14 whats the difference right?anyone have any suggestions what I should check next.BTW the spark plugs all look really
good.HELP!!!

You can't be a "tooth" off...our efi cars don't work like that.

I agree that you're a tooth or two off in terms of the TFI harness [not ignition timing], and would restab the dizzy so the TFI harness has some slack.

Good luck.

Yeah, you can play with that and get the ignition module where you want it; Pointing right at the a/c bracket is about the middle.

I agree with the above on the dizzy.

As far as performance...
What gears are in the rear?
This seems to be the biggest variable in stock performance characteristics.

full tune up done?if not ,age on the following parts.. plugs, wires, cap, rotor, FUEL FILTER, air filter(you said you had a cai). your compression test is good. i really wouldnt mess with the distrubitor position due to the fact that the timing is right, unless it just bothers you. that isnt your prob. also, check your fuel pressure.
