lol, she drives a stick anyways

a whopping 2 other people have driven my car other than me... one is my dad... the other is my friend who i helped put a whipple on a 99 cobra with an 03 swap... he sold it soon after and i recently did the same powershifting in his "new" 98 cobra that he did in my 04GT...

my friend drove mine once with me in the passenger seat... and thats the only way people get to drive it other than my dad... my g/f said she doesnt want to try and drive it, i've scared her too many times in parkinglots doing 3500rpm launches on the DR's haha

You should do what I did:

Find the biggest cowl hood you can get that is extened to the winshield. That way you have to take the wipers off too.

So to recap:

-you have a car that has a 6" cowl (most people don't think you can see over it, and unless your Gary Coleman....you'd be okay, but don't tell them that.)

-Also no wipers (rainx works just as good as the wipers, but again, don't tell them that.)

People will not want to even ride shotgun, much less drive. The only person who may be impervious to this stuff would be your dad/ stepdad. They tend to drive just about anything. If they are anything like mine, they'll bug the crap out of you until they get a chance to drive it. So, your on your own with that. My G/F doesn't know how to drive a stick, and she is deathly afraid to learn on my car.

I'm 6' 0" and I had a 3" Cowl Hood on my '93 GT and I'll tell you I would'nt have wanted to be any shorter. The guy who bought my GT was about 5' 8" and when he test drove my car he was straining to see over the hood. He would have been better off with a phone book under his ass.

Oh man, I tried teaching my old girlfriend how to drive a stick, so i took her out, she was doing good, so i told her to leave the parking lot and hit a deserted street. Then she ran over a small animal(looked like a squirrel) and ran a stop sign, all of that happened with in 1 second, lets just say she never sat in the driver seat again. Lucky my current girlfriend cannot drive one. Yeah i decided to revoke my roommates Mustang driving privilage.

Right...... Im sure you can see awsome. That pic isn't even taken from a drivers POV and I can't see s**t.

:OT: Not to threadjack, but I will. Your right, it isn't from the drivers position, its from the back seat. which last time I checked, isn't a good place to drive from anyways. Looking from the front seat, view is fine to see out of.I'm not saying it;s like a stock hood, but unless your completely incapable of any common sense, or your just plain stupid, would you have a problem with driving it. I'm in Florida, and it rains alot down here, and even in the rain it drive FINE. I have not had any problems seeing at all.

For some of you that just don't see the reason for it, yeah I agree it is super over kill right now. However, would you pass on a super cheap great quality hood, that was painted to match your car, when your stock hood was leaking water on you COPs every time it rained? Also, you don't make hardly any money between all your bills and trying to support your ex and your 10 month old daughter. You may say "yeah I would...cause you can't see!" And in that case I say refer to my first paragraph. I don't have the luxury of buying everything at once (and I know the majority of us don't either), so we have to buy, and piece together. It's not like I'm driving a stock gt around town with my huge cowl hood, hoping to intimidate other people and acting like my car is the *****. I'm not cocky about it, and I hope to back up the look with some better numbers soon. I've already got my engine built for some good boost, and There aren't many if any bolt on's I don't have now. I don't appreciate all the negitivity (granted I'm sure its all in good fun), but I F'ing HATE rice burners and the sub-humans who drive them! I can respect everyones opinion though, and thats what makes this site so cool. I was poking fun at myself with the post I made in this thread to began with, and that was all it was meant for.

If you don't like it, thats fine, I didn't buy it for you to enjoy.
