Rim size question????

I have 17x 10 1/2 wide cobra replicas on the rear off 92 lx. will switching to a 17x9 leave more room between tire and tail pipes? when i corner tire rubs pipes and forces exhaust to rub the frame. thanks

You should be able to adjust the tails to some degree inwards toward the center of the car. If the tails have a ball and socket style fitting at the muffler you may be surprisednow much adjustment you can find when you play with it.

when you move them from the tire it gets closer to the frame up over the axle. i think i got it fixed now with stronger clamps so it does not rotate in the muffler when the tire rubs

what size tire you running?id like to see some pics if you have them.im running 18x10's with no problems

running 255/40/17 all the way around. only the fronts are 9" rims and rears look like 10 1/2
