Rio Red Progress Thread...

Where have I been since April???? I don't hang out in 4.6L Talk too much, but nice progress thus far. I liked the car best with the Y2K's. Those are nice ass wheels. I love silver.

Thanks Matt! Unfortunately, all four of the 2000 Cobra R wheels were curbed bad. I'm way too much of a perfectionist to run them like that. Those wheels were only temporary. I liked the look of them a lot though, from 10 feet away they were sick haha.

I de Cobra'd the bumper tonight. That plastic repair stuff is nasty! It looks pretty good in primer. Working with plastic is a pain in the ass but I can/did deal with it.

Can't wait to get this thing in color! It will possibly be done this weekend!

Here we go, were on the home stretch! The parts came out really well tonight. I was afraid they would be cluttered with dust cause plastic parts are a nightmare to get static out of but they came out really nice. Here ya go chris, can't wait to slap these big peices of automotive candy on your car saturday!

You got it!

We got the parts all on and my what a difference! Car looks so much better!

Thanks Jesse! Did I forget to tell you you're the ****ing man?!

Now is that a hint? :D

Can't wait to see some pictures.

Most definitely a hint to expect big things :nice:

OKAY OKAY!! Here they are! First, there are some before pictures followed by the finished product and some shots out in the sun. The car still needs a real detailing but Jesse did an AMAZING job on these parts and the color match is damn near perfect. Jesse was also nice enough to install my MM lower control arms while he was at it! I'm in love with the car even more now. Let me know what you all think!

The old hood and front bumper BEFORE. Apparently this was a V6 hood someone drilled and hacked a GT hood scoop onto with screws and double sided tape... :ack:

Then these bad boys went in... made a huge difference in the way the car feels. The rear end feels planted firmly now. MM stuff is just plain awesome.
