i recently purchased a 90 lx with a 306, gt40 heads, eldelbrock performer rpm upper and lower intake, bbk shorties, and other goodies. long story short i blowed a head gasket and had to tear it down. on inspecting the old parts i noticed one of the roller rocker arms were broke. when i call jegs to get new ones the guy asked me if it is a 3/8 or 7/16 stud. what stud is he talking about. he is telling me the stud that goes through the rocker that bolts them to the head. if thats the case my bolts in the gt40 heads are 5/16. so i dont think he is right on which stud he is talking about. do you know which stud to measure? also which ratio should i go with 1.6 or 1.8. thanks for any input you have.

Call them back and tell them u have pedestal mounted rockers and not stud mounted.Do u know what ratio is on the car now? I would stay with 1.6 or 1.7.The higher up you go in ratio it will be giving you more lift.If you go up on your ratio you will probably have to check piston to valve clearance.
