Okay, so I've run into a bit of a problem, I got these heads (ford part #D70E-DA) and I can't seem to get rocker arms to fit 'em... I bought the compition cam's 1.6 3/8" rocker arms but when I put them on the mount (stud mounted) they slide all the way down to the bottom... on my 88 5.0 heads - there's a rocker arm channel that they fit into, but those are pedistal mounted, and apparently, according to the 'genuine ford part' mechanics, they don't apply to late 70's/early 80's stud mounted engines... does anyone know if I just need to swap out and get the 7/16" rockers and that will solve my problem? does anyone have an easy way to test for a problem like this?
The only thing I need to get my engine back together is the damn rocker arms that will fit these heads... (early 80's/late 70's Mercury/SBF 302)
Any help is much appreciated, as per usual!

crane cams shows a conversion kit #36806-16. But it uses factory rockers, so your comp. rollers wont work with this kit. Im sure that someone makes a kit that uses roller rockers but I figure that they are not standard roller rocker arms.
