Hi, I have AFR 165 stud mount heads and I am in the middle of trying to install these 1.6rr. Things just dont seem right. Are the rockers supposed to be able to wiggle a little bit after they are adjusted? It seems that depending on how far I turn the motor over certain ones will wiggle a little, not a lot but just a hair. Secondly I was told that the rockers could be adjusted by pumping up the lifters and then just getting them to zero lash and tightening them 3/4 a turn sort of like a chevy. Is this true. I was using the FTI way but it doesnt seem to be working right for me. Sorry for the long thread and thanks in advance.

ya, when you crank the motor over, the valve spring will put pressure on the lifter and squeeze a little oil out, making them seem loose when the valve is closed. the best way is to pull the distributor and get that bit that hooks to a drill and spin the oil pump to keep the lifters full of oil. will give you the best results this way. with mine, i just set it to 0 lash and then gave it a full turn. i believe afr recomends .5-1 full turn (if memory serves)
