I tried searching on a few forums, but found nothing. Is there a write up anywhere on turning the intake around so the throttle body faces towards the drivers side? im concerned about the throttle cable

I would be as well... why would you want to face it the other direction?

The Crown Vics and other non-mustangs with the 5.0L faced the drivers side. I suspect you could buy a throttle cable for one, although I think when the guy here in town swapped in his 5.0 in place of the 3.8 he used the factory cable in the car? Again, why would you want to?

Chances are he has a passenger side novi 2000 and wants to run a intercooler so to make life easier he wants to reverse the upper. The throttle cable should be fine, many people have done it and used the stock cable. That car is going to be a beast when its done thats for sure!

do i just turn the EGR/throttle body upside down? i'd think it would bind up otherwise?

I THINK that you can still have it facing the way it is now(facing the firewall) without a problem. How come you think the throttle will bind up?

because it will have to pull at the throttle tab at an akward angle. it will make a u bend. i dunno, i could try it. hopefully my brake booster and junk will not get in the way.

i was just wondering if anyone had any experience with it

there is a guy on turbomustangs.com that has his intake flipped his name is dman look under his diy single turbo build. Its prolly about half way through the build that he flips it. If you can't find it just give him a call at http://www.racepartsolutions.com/ he very helpfull and do what he can for you besides that he got some pretty good deals on Silicone Hoses. Hope that helps in some way. Later.

okay these pictures were taken from that thread...my only concern is that cable binding up and sticking open and it could end up killing someone.

I think he just put the mount for the t/c on the front side of the intake tube and to my knowledge he has never had any problems. Did you read any of that post? I did a long time ago and I don't really remeber anything about the throttle having any problems.
