Rotors Question

My bro is installing new rotors on his WS-6, and my a mechanic told him that he needs to turn them first before installing them. i've never herd of that. is that true or is the mechanic smoking some hydro? and whats the rev limiter on our stangs set as?

I will sometimes turn brand new rotors depending on where we buy them. We do anywhere from 20 to 50 brake jobs a week and have found even new rotors can come warped, so I would rather put a fine cut on them to be sure and not have the job come back and pizz off the customer As far as the rev limit on our cars I think its 6250 rpm.

94-95 cars don't have a rev limit like the fox body cars.

so the fuel isn't cut off at any rpm?
