Roush rear springs question

Hi,

I have a 2006 Mustang GT that I recently purchased and I want to drop the rear end down to match the front. The car is currently all stock. Through searching the site it looks like Roush rear springs are what I want.

I wanted to make sure before I buy that this will lower the rear to the stock front height or near enough? Also, how hard are they to install?

Yes that's what you want. They are super easy to install.

That's what I did. They look great and they are super easy to install. The car rides fine a little bit stiffer then stock. If you don't do any type of performance driving it's a good setup but if you beat on it a little or get it out to the track (road racing) you'll feel the difference between the front and the rear as the front will be noticeably bouncier (softer) then the back. Make sure the rears come with the jounce bumpers to match the springs because mine didn't and that can cause problems in the long run with limiting the performance of the springs.

THe thing though with most aftermarket springs if you mount them on the stock shocks you'll have trouble with durability. Stock shocks aren't valved for these lower/stiffer spring so they'll take twice the beating they normally would and will give out in the short run. Problem with that is that it'll start the cycle of get springs, replace shocks, get front springs and struts etc. etc. before you know it you have a full suspension which is cool but pricey

On Roush's site, they have lowering springs that they recommend using the stock shocks/struts.

That's the gray/black springs. The Stage 2 or 3 package springs are optimized for their strut / shock packages.
