Hey guys. I finished my 5 lug about a week ago, and I'm having rubbing problems. The rear driver's side is getting up into the fender, and it's slicing the tread a little on bumps and big dips in the road, and the passenger side is rubbing on the inner liner and lip on any bump, dip, decent braking, and braking while turning. The other wheels, the driver's front and passenger rear, have yet to have a problem with rub. I am using 94-95 SN95 parts all around, and 17x8" ROH Snyper wheels with 245.45.17 tires mounted. My springs are BBK progressive rate units that dropped the car atleast an inch, probably more like 1.5". I know my 150k mile shocks and struts are worn, so I bought new KYB GR-2 pieces for all 6 locations. I have yet to install them, but I think it'll help up front the most, since the struts are litterally dead. I can lift the front corner and it'll hold it there, but then compress after a while on the pass side. The rear shocks are so shot I can fully compress and extend them with minimal hand effort. I also have some BBK upper and lower control arms on the way, I don't know if that'll help out back, but I hope it'll tighten travel up a bit more. I am going to get under there asap with a BFH and roll the rear fender lips under, and from the way it looks, that should take care of the rear rub. Up front, though, I am not so sure what to do. I am going to roll what lip I can up away from the wheel, and I am hoping the struts will help with the major nose dive and wheel compression on bumps and in braking. Is there any other trick to bringing up the front? I don't want to pull the springs or add thicker MM isolators, because that is a major pain. I already eliminated all the weight I could from the engine bay. The A/C, Smog, and a bunch of other crap is all gone. The driver's side doesn't rub on bumps, which makes me think it's all in the struts. Also, the inside of my wheels hit the A arms when I turn the wheel too much, but I ordered rack limiters from 5.0 resto which I believe will solve that. If anyone has any tips as to how I can loose some front rub, post it up.
