Car normally runs 180-195 with a/c off...it jumps 10-15 degrees higher when I use a/c. It got up to 210 today and started to go over then I turned off the a/c. Anyone else running into this? Is it possible to add another electric fan to help keep it kewl? Its only 85 degrees right now and I will probably see 100 degree weather during the summer. Thanks for any advise.

check your high speed fan motor for proper use.

mine stays below 200 even in this texas heat adn my high speed is burned up. it is only running on the low speed.

I also have a 180 stat, stock radiator and pump, but i have a 20K mile block with fresh coolant and clean passages.

I keep telling everyone on here.. Our cars are 10 years old now, and with the mods we are doing, you gotta consider a Fluidyne or like radiator.

We get these questions every year here when summer is ready to begin.

I have a fluidyne radiator , stewart components stage 1 water pump and modified highflow robertshaw thermostat 180 degree. Now what?

see, i dont understand this, i thought that until i did a manual fan switch

my motor used to see never below 200 last summer with this texas heat and did a high speed fan manual switch and my car runs steady 175-180 with stock everything and 180 stat

I do have under drive pullies wich im sure arent helping the problem any. As far as high speed I have mine turn on early through the autologic chip thast in the car.. I think high speed comes on at 180 or 190. Ill pay closer attention to it next time I drive it.. Im gonna check for air in the system and install a new radiator cap. Ive left a post on Stewart components web site hoping they will respond.. first thing he is gonna tell me is to ditch the underdrive pullies becuse ive seen him tell ppl that befor. With all I have done I cant believe it runs hot.
