I havent decided whether i am gonna go with the s-281 wing or the cobra spoiler on my car. I found a really good deal on a cobra spoiler already painted my color.....but i love the looks of the s-281

How much of a pos is the s-281 wing....is it worth it:shrug: im so confused, i wanna go with the cheaper cobra spoiler but i love the s-281

Can you guys post up some pics of any gt's with saleen wings, help me out people cuz i heard body shops charge alot for the work on the saleens because of the aggrevation

S281, sans sideburns, wing owns, quality, prep and paint is hit or miss I hear.

01-04 Saleen S281 Wing
yup thats where i got mine from also. very nice company to work with! i'd for sure recommend speedworx.

for $400 paint and prep work i dont know if its really worth it FOR YOU. Its still not even fitting right on the trink lid. people say im crazy for spending that much money on it, but i think it makes my car. the look is worth it for me :nice:

BE WARNED:
the s281 wing comes to you looking like absolute hell...pitted, warped, dented, chipped and scuffed. 6 or so body shops refused to work on the first wing i received.....so i had to get another thru saleen which took a month and a half :nonono:

finally i got this one on the car but it still doesnt fit perfectly, and im worried my sub is literally rattling it off my car.

ya think? i was planning on taking the trim panel off when i got my wing.....yea i just wanna get the wing and get it all over with cuz i heard all the problems they cause but ur car was the one that made me wanna get the wing so i cant wait:D

Love way my S-281 wing look.
But like many said, its a rough to work with. they come unprepped, unfinished, and usually bent to chit. It took me almost 1.5 years to get my spoiler to fit right, and paint to stick(tried and failed 3 times. 4th finally worked).
Saleen have vertually no aftersells service, and u'll be lucky if everything show up at once(mine came in 3 separate box. 3 weeks apart).

But with that being said, after you spent too much money and time in it, its absolutely the best looking wing you can get for 99+ IMO

probrem is that most bodyshop is not used to working with raw urethan. Saleen stuff is pretty much straight off of mold which is woaked with release agent(OIL), and bodyshop just does not degrease it enough. Once you paint without proper prepp, man its sooo hard to get it right after pain peels
