?'s On A Low-mile 5.0

As You Can See In My Sig I Found This Beauty Sitting Waiting On Me To Purchase. Well The Car @ Time Of Purchase Had Only 16,000 Miles On It. It Now Has 21,000. Everything Was Totaly Stock, Including The Goodyear Eagle Ga Tires Dated To 1993. (even The Air Filter Was Not A K&n). I Have Only Added Some Flowmaster Mufflers With Turn Downs @ The Back Of Them. I Have Also Removed The Silencer In The Pass Fender Well. For Looks Added Cobra Wing And Saleen Wheels.
My Main Question Is What Would You Guys With This Stock 5.0 Not To Make It A Speed Beast But Keep The Car In Reliable Running Condition. This Thing Still Has The O.e Plugs And Wires. The Wires Are Dated Motorcrafts 1993. I Have Already Changed Fuel Filter And Brake Fluid For Maint. I Run Premium Gas @ The Pump. Should I Consider Changing The Plugs, Wires, Cap, And Rotor Just Due To The Age?
Only Concern I Have Is That It Seems Like It Boggs Some On A Light To Heavy Acell . Like If You Start Off Slow And Then Goose It. Maybe Normal.
Anyway Let Me Know What You Guys Would Do. Thanks.

Tune up stuff would be fine (to maintain proper running order) You should leave the car as stock as possible. Save all the parts you take off the car so you can return it to entirely stock form. You should even consider running an extra set of tires to keep the "good for a year" GA's to really help the value. An orginal Stang with less than 25,000 miles is worth a lot of money right now. 8K - 10K or more depending on the area. It'll be worth even more later on also.

Personally I don't like the Cobra wing or the dumped exhaust (but it's your car not mine)

Do all the tune up stuff you can and post up some pictures!

You could do a full tune and throw all the old components in a box for future owners to enjoy. Change the plugs, cap, rotor, wires, fuel filter, check the timing, maybe pull the codes and see if any of the sensors just became tired from lack of use rather than normal overuse.

you don't need premium gas in the car unless you're experiencing pre-detonation (pinging), usually associated with high compression and/or advanced timing. I've heard of no advantages of running premium on a stock 5.0. I know you think you're doing the right thing by spending more money for the gas, but it's not the quality dictates the price necessarily, it's the octane content. Do yourself a favor and save your money:nice:

Last I checked, it was only necessary to capatalize the first leter in each sentence.

I actually typed it all in caps because of habit. We use all caps @ my work all day. The forum changed it like that. Now go bother someone else.:Damnit::D
Thanks for the replies from all others.
