ok so I was gonna get one of those kits but I just got some feedbacks on the price.. I think it's not worth it. Let me know what you guys think.

Saleen body kit: around $1400 (front/rear bumper + side scoops + side skirts). I can get it from saleen.

Paint/prep: around $1500/$2000

Install: around $600

Total Body kit from raw to "on ur car: around $4000 !!!!

dang, that's almost the price of a KB !!!!

Saleen is nice looking but very pricey !!! plus after you have to get the saleen rims coze the kit looks ugly with other brands...

so I think I'm "just" gonna get a KB

im sorry but 2100-2600 seems WAY WAY too high for prep, paint, and install. did you get that as a quote or just a guess?

well see, the paint and prep most of the time won't be nearly that expensive, no where close to that number, I would say no more then 600-700$ for paint and prep, but then again you can find out how much paint it takes, buy it yourself for way cheaper, and just have a shop paint and clear coat.. and if you have enough knowledge and think you can do it yourself, you can mount the front/rear bumpers on yourself..

All in all, I paid aproximately $5,000 for everything. I'll go ahead and let you know now; if you plan on buying a urethane Saleen body kit from Saleen, expect to be handing out some extra cash for the prep work and fitment. My body ship had a hell of a time getting everything fitted correctly, and ended up contacting Saleen directly multiple times in order to get everything perfect.

Also, if you decide to go the Saleen route, this may come in usefull:
http://www.speedworx.com/cgi-local/shop.pl/page=saleen_convert.htm

I will say this much though, it sure turns allot of heads! If you don't want attention, don't buy a Saleen body kit!

Nahhh, most people really don't give me much flak. I just tell them it's actually a GT with "authentic" Saleen parts, and in all reality it's very similiar to the base model S281. It's not like it's that much slower (if at all) anyway. Now a supercharged S281 or a S281-E on the other hand...

Saleen Series II Supercharger Kit here I come!

I think haney motorsports sell full kit (including side scoop and wing) for $1100

the prep/paint should be around $1500-$2000 and if you install it yourself.. it should be around $3000.. not too bad IMO..

In my opinion, I would never buy anything from saleen again. The fitment of the back bumper I got was HORRIBLE and my body shop had to spend numerous hours preping everything because urethane was horrible. I spent around $500 after shipping on the back bumper. It cost about $1,000 total to have it painted and put on because of all the damn prep work. When it came to me from saleen it was missing the install kit and the vents. All in all saleen was not very helpfull in anyway shape or form with the problem. I bought a cervini's wing and the fitment was incredible as was customer service. ABC exclusive is where my front bumper and hood are from. They were extremely nice and everything required minimal prep work. I would buy your kit from ebay instead of saleen. Maybe it's just me with a bad experience from saleen but I can't speak for anyone but myself. Goodluck.

I know you guys purchased urethane kits directly from saleen however, I got one from body kits.com ( made of fiberglass and no decals) but i haven't had ony problems it was half the price but i had to get and experienced body shop to put it on. The total price was about 1,400 . Infact the rear bumper i recieved the first time was warped from the factory and they sent me another within a few days free of charge.

I think I paid around 1100 for the front/rear bumpers, side skirts, rear wing and side scoops....then another 400 or so for the tonnaue cover.

Monkie ... sounds like you got a hell of a deal for 600.

I'd rather have urethane than fiberglass tho.
Price of the body kit is fine, it's just the prep/paint/install that is overpriced and I got several quotes too !!! always about the same price.
