saleen body kits are beautiful but i couldnt put that on my GT. its fake, im sure everyone asks" wow you have a saleen!, is it fast" its a fake
The words "SALEEN" do not appear on my car anywhere. Thus I'am not trying to be something I'm not. Now if i had the decals, rims, badges, etc. then that would be one thing. I don't care if my car's not a Saleen, it looks damn good. Ok, enough of that. I got my whole kit from Saleen for $849 on sale and it was $150 for shipping. I got it prepped and painted for $300 because my uncle works in the body shop at a Ford dealer. I also installed it myself. It's not that hard if you take your time. It can get frustrating at times though. I'd say it might not be worth it for a lot of you though because the paint and prep will get expensive. My uncle said the Saleen stuff is kinda rough and it took him a very long time to prep it. Also, a flexing agent has to be used so the paint doesn't chip off which significantly adds time. I will say this though, it was worth it. I get a lot of comments on my car now and it turns heads on the street. :nice:

is that cheaper coze they don't need to prep it ?
the body shop still needs to prep it!

the idea is that if it has been installed before it has been fitted and shaped to the point where it will sit flush on your car, thus reducing the amount of prep time needed... also you could find one that is the same color as your car. in fact there have been some in the past

but i haven't had ony problems it was half the price but i had to get and experienced body shop to put it on.

I am having a bit of trouble understanding the above, were you happy w/ the kit? Was the total w/ paint or just the prep work? Does bodykits.com have a pretty good reputation w/ their quality? Thanks.
