Hey guys, I got a 03 cobra convt and want a full saleen kit on it (front, real, sides, side scoop, 3-piece wing, rear seat cover and a light bar)..does anyone know how much it will be (parts & Labor?)..PS, I notice that Saleen light bar are lower in height vs. aftermarkets do you agree? thanks guys :nice:

do a search, I was visiting three sites yesterday that sell the saleen parts. Stay away from the fiberglass kits, Saleens are polyuethane, and will require a lot of prep work for install. Go to a body shop that has installed their parts. Also, yes, the newer light bars from saleen are shorter. What color is your cobra ? I had an 03 redfire cobra coupe. anyway, hope this helps. BTW, I have the Saleen 2001 s281 rear spoiler on my car and would not choose it again, I would go with the newer style or extreme. Mine does not stay on very well.

i kinda like the look of the stock cobra. I have a saleen wing and the fit and finished sucked. i've had it for @ 5 yrs or more and the paint is bubbling at the seams and i've just had it. I had it prepped and painted at a good shop too, they told me before they did the work they don't like working with saleen body parts cause they don't prep them well so he has to spend lots more time on it causing the bill to be higher.

Saleen sucks. One body shop wouldn't even touch the S281 spoiler. They were like "We don't work with that crap!" Go Roush and call it a day.

I wouldnt do it w/ a Cobra  maybe a wing or something, but i dont think you should put a body kit on the cobra.
But...its your car and if thats what you want, go for it. Just be prepared to shell out some bucks like the others said for the prep of the saleen kit. You want it done right the first time. I had a saleen s351 wing on my old 97GT and i had to have it reprepped and painted 3 times. It was done at one of the best shops in town too.

if you have any decent body shops around your area, like the body shop i used to work at, they shouldnt have any problems.. we did all kinds of stuff like that, we even did fiberglass work on the whole body of a '63 stingray vette and painted it, redid an old Alfa Romeo, a 1948 Ford Sedan, and now they're doing the owner's '71 Chevelle SS.. nobody has ever brought their cars back for bad paint prep or anything. They made sure everything was perfect b4 they painted it or put it on and never had anyone bringing anything back and i worked there for nearly 2 years (which was a TON of cars, averaging about $95,000 a month in repairs including parts, labor, and materials). So if I were you, i'd just get whatever body kit you wanted and pick a very well trusted reputable shop, even if it means going out of town. Good Luck with it! :nice:
