Saleen Question

I have a friend who just bought a 2000 saleen. It is n/a with an automatic.
I have a superchips programmer and a hypertech programmer that could work for his car.He is going to the track tomorrow night, and I was going to let him borrow one and see if he likes it.Is there anything that I need to watch out for? Will it be ok to run one of these on his car?The last thing I want to do is screw up his car that he has only had for a week, but if I can make a few dollars by getting rid of an extra programmer, I'm all for it.

not sure about the N/a saleens. i know the SCed ones have like a reflashed ecu. so i dont think the programmer would work if its ment for a normal GT. but since its N/a it is basically a GT with a borla catback i dont think the n/a saleens have any other "speed" mod

ok, but since it takes the current settings and stores them , would it matter? The shift firmness is one of the main things that he is interested in.thanks again for the help.

The Superchips programmer will only work on the first car it is plugged into. So it won't work on your friends Salleen.

True, unless the tune was removed from the old car completley then i think he could use the programmer..

You need to completely remove the tune from your car and then it should work fine on his. I would only mess with the shifting b/c the Saleen flash is fairly good. If you do not remove the flash from your car first it will not work.

It is removed, I have two different ones.I know that it becomes vin locked until it is deprogrammed.
