I ran it at a local 1/8 mile track my time was 9.1s, while a couple new edge cars we're running high 9s to low 10s. My 60ft times were low in the low 2 second rangs. Hell the run this year was conservative with 9.17 @ 71mph. As for the tune I'm still debating on getting it done to mine, for the simple fact that it runs awesome. I've pulled the plugs over the weekend and they look beautiful, not too dark not to light. Yes the crown vic specs are the same. 5.0 mustang had an article about the pi motor, "ford is saying that 2003 and newer pi are the best" so that being said look around for them. My pi motor is from an 05 crown vic.

9.1 in the 1/8 is like 14.2 in the 1/4.

That's what I was thinkin phatcat, the new edge that ran a 9.8 had slicks. I'm runing a 285/18 nitto, with very little spin almost non at all. Both cars that ran that nite had nothing more that flowjunkers and maybe a cai. They didn't have a gear either, mine has almost full bolt-ons with a 4.10 and good aftermarket clutch.

Americanmuscle.com ftw

Alright so it seems that people might still be debating whether or not a PI intake manifold can be attached to Non-PI heads. Well here is a how to put the PI manifold onto the Non-PI heads

Well I did a little bit poking around, for all to know the 96-98 gts ran 14.9 in the 1/4 and the 99-04 gts ran 14.7 in the 1/4. So for a full bolt-on npi to run a 1/2 second or better in the 1/8 is fully possible, oh wait that's right I did that on several occasions last year before swapt the engine in it this year. Also I was leaving at a .03 light once and .17-.20 lights the other times

LOL! There is NOT a .2 second difference between PI and NPI 2V's. The "poking around" you did only found the quickest NPI times and the slowest PI times lol

They make adapters to put the PI intake on NPI heads, but you may have figured that out by now.

Same site testing both cars....

1998 Mustang GT - 15.1 @ (MPH NOT GIVEN)

1999 Mustang GT - 14.0 @ 100.2

Ford Specs. (Specifications like acceleration, top speed, hp, 1/4 mile, etc.)

Oh yea....the NPI doesn't even compare to the PI. I'm surprised this debate has even gone on this long. The difference between the 2 engines should be a sticky, if it isn't already. Mods?

yeah i figured that out but as i look into it more the adapters seem a little to expensive and unnecessary. looks like some silicone or jb weld will do the trick

Well I don't know because I didn't go that route, but it's probably a better idea than doing what I did if you ever want to make 400+hp without filing for bankruptcy...

im not trying to go anywhere near the 400hp range. i'd be fine with 300 no matter how much power i put into my car it'll never give me the thrills of my motorcycles so there really no point

Haha, I'm the total opposite man. My bike is just for a little extra fun and good gas mileage. Bikes will never be to me what my 'Stang is. If you just want to get in the 300+hp range, then maybe the full PI swap is what you're looking for.
