I just purchased a sct xcalibrator. I hooked up the tuner to my car did what it said and selected the octane i wanted then I scrolled down and left everything alone except for the speed limiter. It download then i unpluged it turned the car on and it wouldn't start so i reinstalled the stock tune. So do i have to messes with the air ratio etc. Because i thought you just select the octane and do whatever else you wanted and then it would be done. So any input would be great.

first off, start with the key off and plug in the xcal2. follow the instructions and select tune. if you dont want to adjust parameters, skip that step and program. after its done loading, it tells you to turn on the key. did you follow that step?

I did start with the key off. But i didn't know you could skip all that but my other question is can you just change one thing and not have to mess with all the other things.

I just got done skipping everything and it still doesn't start up. An can i damage my car when i doesn't "turn over".

Reread the instructions. Your not doing something right or you got the 1 out of a million bad units.

I seriously think i have a bad program because it just doesn't work. what a bumer:/ I need to make a video of what is happening.
