Second thoughts after all.....

I am in it to get something put together as cheap as possible to hold up while I get the money for other things....i don't have the money to buy brand new kits..no product names mean nothing to me as long as it works.
I'd be surprised if you can get a '69 Camaro with an 8 cheaper than a Mustang. I have a friend that's been looking for a '69 Camaro, and it's hard to find much. Everyone seems to think the one they have is worth a lot. They made a lot of them, but still a lot of people want them. Unless you happen to know someone that wants to let go of it cheap...

good luck

hey man no flamin...let him do what he wants, i've talked to him...hes loyal to stang restoration

Who's flaming? Did he get some type of a permit allowing him to express dissapointment that I do not have? Or is there some type of age restriction clause I do not meet that let's him express his opinion while I am to keep mine to myself?

Perhaps our dictionary's are different, but wanting to put just enough into a car you paid too much for to begin with so you can sell it for a profit and by a Camaro simply because it has an 8 instead of a 6 is only loyalty to cylinder displacement not brand or Mustang.

Hack, some mustang people are the same way. I used to work with a guy that thought his rough 'driver quality' C code coupe was worth 30k. I proceeded to drive my 66 to work the next day and he was like "oh my god, that thing is worth 50 grand easy!" Whatever....I played dumb and said "wow, really, thats awesome". Most classics aren't worth anywhere near what some people think they are.

Pak you are looking way too hard into this. And what do you know about what I am loyal to. I am a first timer and I am just getting my feet wet here. Excuse me for not knowing everyting like you obviously do. I am aware that an F body is harder and harder to find...much less cheap. I like mustangs...so we got a mustang..we didn't get the best deal but I am not crying about that. And as far as loyalty goes...i am loyal to muscle cars...I don't care if it says chevy pontiac or ford...if it is old and goes fast then I like it. End of story. Don't make judgements on what you don't know. One of the main reasons we bought this car was to have a dependable car until school lets out next summer. Then we will do an 8 swap. I learn more and unfortunately spend more. Thanks for the opinions guys.
