Roush Series IV Cold Air Kit: Gauging Interest...

Just trying to gauge an interest in a group purchase for a cold air kit that will hit the market soon for the Series IV Supercharged Saleens. My car is being used as the prototype by JLT to market a full-length kit. There will be two designs (one with the filter inside the engine compartment with a heat shield and one with the filter in the fender well). These kits will be color-matched to your vehicle. I dropped my car off tonight (Thursday, October 28th) and will be given back to me this coming Sunday. It is currently a bone-stock 2004 Supercharged Saleen, and will be put on the dyno before and after the kit is installed to see the gains.

Again, this is just to gauge an interest and I will post up final dyno results after the testing. Currently, Densecharger has a cold air kit on the market and is only meter-forward. You can see more of this guy's work on his website...

Just get a KB and forget about the rest :D
Eventually...but the stock Whipple will have to do until then.

He's done with the two kits, here are the pics. The car goes on the dyno this week sometime. I'll also be testing with a 75mm throttle body.

You can get either kit...fenderwall or underhood. You tell him the color of your vehicle and he paints to match or can be painted another color of your choice. He's sold some mystichrome painted kits to Cobra owners as well.

Well we just got back from the dyno test.
The under the hood set up jumped power up by 8-10 RWHP & TQ through out the rpm range.
The full JLT True cold air bumped power even more. From 4000 rpm and up gains were from 10 RWHP to as much as 15 RWHP. TQ gains were big too. From 4000 rpm and up 15-18 RWTQ gains were seen.

This was with NO tuning. If we tuned the car for the added air flow the gains would be even higher.

Big thanks to Rob for the test car. :nice:

Any questions please email me @ [email protected]
Thanks
Jay

Wow 305rwhp is odd. I made 340rwhp 350rwtq bone stock(new numbers). I am sooo glad someone finally made a kit for this car. Performance parts are really starting to emerge for this kit, Reichard racing and chicane both have pulleys for the Series Iv.
