so i need people to talk me into them. i dont have the money right now, but i would say in about 2 months i will be set to get some L/Ts and a matching shorty. here are my questions/requests

-which brand L/Ts are the best for power gains AND sound? (will sacrifice sound for performance)
-which is the best shorty midpipe (power/sound), or can a muff shop just cut my o/r x to fit?
-can i see some dyno graphs PLEASE????

thanks a lot guys for the help

i am going t be buying longtubes soon when i get some cash flow. from what i heard it it gives a very nice noticable gain and beefs up the sound on your exhaust. as for brand i would suggest BBK,or hooker, try to stay away from MAC i heard a few bad things about their headers(leaks).
As for shorty mid-pipes IMO o/r H pipe sounds awesome on our cars it gives a nice muscle car rumble, iv heard and x pipe sounds weird with long tubes(rasp).

For the money u spend on the headers, long tubes or shorties, its not worth it. Its maybe about a 5-7 hp gain. And they are a Bi^&h to install.

a guy on here Cottonburnerz has a dyno sheet where he gained 25 rwhp and 26 rwtq .... wtf are you talking about LOL.......

sorry to be rude, but if you dont' know what you are talking about DO NOT post :nonono:

i gained 18 rwhp on a MUSTANG dyno, which reads lower than a dynojet if you don't already know that. it would have been 20+ rwhp on a dynojet dyno.

what you are thinking about are the full length prochambers, the gasket they give you sucks. it's better to re-use the stock one. the only complaint people have about mac headers is their HTS coating, because of a tendancy to rust. but mac has made some very nice improvements in their lines of product & really stepped up their quality. if you don't want the HTS coating, they now have a "ceraMAC" coating that's much better.

never go off of what people "hear". find people that actually have the stuff & ask their opinion. i've had a full mac exhaust on 2 GT's & love it, i prolly wont own another exhaust on any other mustang, just cause i love the sound & it makes great power :nice:
