Shelby Gauge pod?

Hi,
Was wondering if anyone could tell me how the 65-66 Shelby dash center gauge pod attaches? does it permanently disfigure the dash pad? I am interested in putting this in my 66 but do not want to hack up the dash pad.

Also, does anybody have any pics of theirs installed?

it screws in two 2 1/2" sheet metal screws in the top & 3 in the bottom, and depending which tach you use ( I used the Autometer Phantom 3 3/8") you may need to take a big chunk out of the pad behind the tach...

it it screws in and you have to cut a hole so you can run wires.
