Hey, I tried on a set of 07 Shelby GT 500 rims and tires on my 94 Cobra. The rims are 18" X 9.5" on all 4. The front tires are 255-45-18 and the rears are 285-40-18. The tires are on the tall side, especially the fronts. The fronts needed 1/2" spacer (used some washers to get the spaceing needed) to clear the strut and sway bar. The rears were put on with no spacers, will need a 1/4" spacer to clear the parking brake bracket. Needs a spacer, 1/4" min and possible 3/8" to move the rear tires out to the fender edge to look better. My car is lowered, have Eibach Pro kit for a coupe springs. The tall tires raised the car .5" front & .8" rear, but the fender gap got smaller due to the tall tires.
From my research, 05+ rims can fit with a 3/8" spacer all around being the GT rims are 8" wide, not the 9.5" wide on the Shelby rims. The back spacing on the Shelby rims are 7.21".

I have already bought the rims and tires (good price to pass up and I can sell them & make a few bucks). Anyone intersted? PM me :)
I'm on the fence on keeping the Shelby rims and selling my 03 chrome Cobras (9" front & 10.5" rears). Or just selling the Shelbys? Opinions welcome.
What do you think of the pics:

Cobra rims are like buttholes, everyone has them. I think if you get the offset on the rear taken care of, the GT500's would look pretty good. You won't get much $$$ out of the Cobra's, though. You might find somebody trying to repair a GT500, or someone looking for the GT500 wheels for their 05-07 GT, so you might get a little more out of them.

I'd say to keep the GT500's on it. (Just invest in some spacers....) Gives it a look that not everyone has.
