Shift fork is inside or outside?

I am curious as to if the shift fork in the t-45 is inside or outside the tranny..mine is bent from shift stops being installed wrong by the previous owner and I am curious about replaceing it..how much do the forks run and what type of job am I looking at? I can't stand this popping out of second and having to slam it back in..

To replace one the whole trans has to come out of the car, be taken apart and the damaged parts replaced.

It ain't going to be cheap.

What would the parts run? on average I mean. I have a buddy who is ase certified that can help me with the work..
